Twelve Faithful Women: Sarah framed canvas print
$139.00
Sarah’s story is one of movement, waiting, uncertainty, laughter, and promise.
This 12×12 framed art print reproduces an original portrait from Twelve Faithful Women, an ongoing series by Christina Leigh exploring the lives of women whose stories unfold throughout Scripture.
Sarah spent much of her life between places. She left what was familiar with Abraham and traveled toward an inheritance they could not yet see. Years passed between the promise of descendants and its fulfillment, and Scripture does not conceal the difficulty of that waiting.
When Sarah overheard that she would bear a son in her old age, she laughed. Her response was deeply human—shaped by years of waiting for something that, by then, seemed impossible. Yet Isaac was born at the appointed time, and laughter became part of his name and Sarah’s story.
Inspired in part by Matthew 6:19, the portrait also considers the meaning of inheritance. Sarah’s greatest inheritance was not something she could gather, store, or possess. It was held in the promises of God and in a story that would continue long beyond her lifetime.
ABOUT THE SERIES
Twelve Faithful Women explores twelve women of Scripture within the complexity of their individual lives: their choices, circumstances, relationships, faith, uncertainty, courage, and encounters with God.
