Custom Map Commissions
CLR Creations accepts a limited number of commissions annually for private and commercial interiors. Create custom map art of any location. Each work is informed by meaningful experiences, such as a favorite travel memory, a life milestone, or the distinct character of a resort, boutique hotel, or workspace. The painting becomes a visual narrative, translating place and memory into layered texture, color, and movement designed to live thoughtfully within its environment.

Private Collectors FAQ
-
All commission requests begin with a scheduled consultation. This conversation establishes fit, scope, and intent before any commitment is made.
During the consultation we discuss:
The place or places informing the work
The story, memory, or purpose behind the commission
Intended environment (private residence, hospitality, commercial space)
Desired scale and orientation
Surface options and material considerations
Timeline expectations and installation context
No sketches are produced. Instead, we align on concept, color direction, materials, scale, and emotional tone. This ensures clarity without constraining the work prematurely.
If the project is a fit, a formal proposal and contract are issued following the consultation, and a non-refundable deposit of 40% is due to secure the booking.
-
Once booked, the concept is finalized through written agreement, reference discussion, and material selection. This includes:
Final size range
Surface selection
Color palette and material direction
Overall visual density and atmosphere
Because the work is abstract and process driven, there are no preliminary sketches.
-
The painting process unfolds in stages. Clients receive progress updates at defined checkpoints.
Up to three revision points are included
Revisions are limited to adjustments within the agreed scope
Significant changes or requests beyond scope may incur additional fees
The work is built through layered application, allowing for drying and curing between stages. This timeline cannot be rushed without compromising quality.
-
Once the painting is complete, final images are shared for approval. Upon approval, the remaining balance is due before delivery or shipment.
-
