Sweet Savannah is a celebration of Savannah through color, geography, and memory.
Inspired by the vibrant colors and Southern confections of Savannah's historic River Street, this abstract cartography painting transforms the city into a candy-colored map of experience. Turquoise waterways wind around lavender neighborhoods, bright greens trace the city's familiar street grid, and warm creams and golden yellows recall pralines fresh from the kettle.
The painting grew from one of my earliest memories of Savannah: visiting River Street Sweets at sixteen and tasting my first warm praline. Years later, the scent of butter, toasted pecans, vanilla, and caramelized sugar still brings me back to that afternoon along the Savannah River.
In Sweet Savannah, geography becomes a place to hold those memories. The Historic District, waterways, marshes, islands, and coastal landscape remain recognizable beneath layers of playful color and pattern. Together, they reflect a Savannah remembered through its streets, its water, its traditions, and its sweetness.
Limited Edition Canvas Print
Sweet Savannah is available as a limited edition of only 50 canvas prints total across all sizes. Each print is individually numbered as part of the same edition of 50. Once all 50 have been collected, the edition will be permanently closed.
