Savannah Artist CLR Creations Expands Global Reach Through Saatchi Art and Artfinder

SAVANNAH, Ga. | September 2026 — Savannah-based artist Christina Leigh, founder of CLR Creations, has expanded her work to Saatchi Art and Artfinder, two international online art marketplaces connecting independent artists with collectors, designers, businesses, and hospitality projects around the world.

The expansion marks another step toward Christina’s long-term vision for CLR Creations: creating artwork that gives hotels and travel spaces a deeper connection to the places their guests have come to experience.

Christina creates abstract cartography paintings exploring the ways geography shapes memory, identity, and belonging. Maps form the underlying structure of her paintings, with streets, waterways, shorelines, property lines, and geographic boundaries gradually transformed through layers of acrylic and oil paint, translucent glazes, expressive marks, texture, and metallic elements.

Each work begins with a destination. Sometimes it is a city. Sometimes an island, neighborhood, coastline, journey, or individual memory. Through painting, the geography gradually loosens, allowing the physical landscape and the experience of being there to exist together.

For Christina, this relationship between art and place has particular meaning within hospitality.

“Hotels are part of how we experience a destination,” Christina said. “They become part of our memories of a place. I want to create artwork that helps a guest feel connected to where they are, whether that means the waterways of coastal Georgia, the streets of Savannah, a vineyard on Waiheke Island, or a landscape that holds particular meaning for the property itself.”

Christina’s interest in hospitality is informed by years spent working professionally within the hotel industry as well as a lifelong relationship with travel. That experience gives her an understanding of hotels as spaces where design, geography, culture, and individual experience meet.

CLR Creations is particularly interested in collaborations with boutique hotels, resorts, hospitality designers, developers, and properties seeking artwork rooted in their destination. Potential projects include original paintings for guestrooms and public spaces, destination-specific commissions, coordinated collections, and artwork developed around the history, geography, landscape, or cultural identity of an individual property. The expansion onto Saatchi Art and Artfinder brings this place-centered practice to wider international audiences and provides additional avenues for collectors, designers, and hospitality professionals to discover Christina’s work.

Her process can begin with maps and photographs, along with conversations, memories, historic material, architectural details, colors, landscapes, and sensory experiences associated with a destination. Christina translates those fragments into paintings that sit somewhere between recognizable geography and abstraction. The result is artwork intended to carry a sense of where the viewer is.

Christina’s current body of work includes paintings inspired by Savannah and coastal Georgia as well as Back to Life: A Journey Through Aotearoa, a collection developed from her experiences traveling through New Zealand. Her broader practice continues to examine the landscapes people visit, inhabit, remember, and carry with them long after leaving. Her Savannah work offers a particularly natural extension into hospitality. The city’s waterways, historic street patterns, barrier islands, neighborhoods, and layered cultural landscape provide the visual foundation for contemporary artwork that can connect visitors to the destination. Through CLR Creations, Christina hopes to collaborate with hospitality partners who see original art as part of the guest experience and who want the artwork within their properties to carry a meaningful relationship to place.

“Travel has shaped so much of my own life,” Christina said. “There are places we leave physically that continue to live within us. My paintings are an attempt to make that relationship visible.”

Original paintings and commissions by Christina Leigh are now available internationally through CLR Creations, Saatchi Art, and Artfinder.
